I’m Grace Fruauff, a playwright, director, and actor. I grew up in the Poconos, PA, and am now heading to New York City. I recently graduated from Swarthmore with high honors in Theater and a minor in Film and Media Studies. My most recent work includes a staged reading of my first full-length play, False Thief, directing Büchner’s Woyzeck, and acting in Brandon Jacob Jenkins’ Gloria, all staged at Swarthmore College. I enjoy all types of theater-making, but feel most drawn to experimental and devised pieces. Besides theater, I also enjoy filmmaking. My most recent piece, "no morals for a discount," is an experimental essay film exploring my time in the Navy. I enjoy all aspects of production, including screenwriting, directing, editing, and sound design. My approach to art is that every idea is worth exploring, and I value everyone's process. I want to empower other artists to feel a sense of ownership over their effort and dedication to the performance, regardless of their role. Let's make some art together!
